2010 TMCA Officers
The elected officers of the Club shall be a Commodore, a Vice-Commodore, a Rear Commodore, a Secretary, a Treasurer and a Cruise Captain. Other officers may be appointed by the Board of Governors as it considers necessary. See Section V of the Bylaws to see what the “Officers” do for TMCA.

Commodore: Ron Eddleman, s/v Stellar of Course,

Vice Commodore: Jerry Giallanza, m/v Rowdy Too,

Jerry manages the monthly General Meeting programs. He acquires the speakers and also organizes special tours. He will make sure the website calendar is updated with current meeting information. E-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Rear Commodore: Karen Chappell, m/v Dock Trauma,

Karen is in the know about the social calendar: dock parties, special events, and shore-side happenings. Cruise Captain: Barry Dupuy, s/v Morning Star,

Call Barry for general cruising information, status of weekend cruises, cruise leaders, or destinations. Secretary: John Allison, m/v Traveling Star,

John records the minutes of the Board Meetings, handles TMCA correspondence, and records and maintains the TMCA membership database. He will verify new website users as TMCA members. E-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Treasurer, Lorna Glascock, s/v Wind-Swept,

Lorna handles all financials for the club, including the collection of membership dues. Event leaders can E-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Immediate Past Commodore: Luke Sterling, s/v £ Sterling,

2010 TMCA Committees & Standing Committees
The club shall have a least ten (10) standing committees. See Section 4.06 of the Bylaws to see what the “Audit Committee” does for TMCA, Section VI “Nominating Committee” and Section VII for “Standing Committees”.

Audit Committee: Steve Gasper, Steve Bertram & Elaine Snowden

Nominating Committee: (five) Ron Eddleman, Luke Sterling, Gloria Rooney, Martin Clark and Doug Payne

Commodore, Immediate Past Commodore, three members selected by the commodore, at least one of which shall be a serving Trustee, one of which shall have been a member for at least five years, and one of which shall have been a member for no more than two years.

Membership Committee: (three or more) Peggy Allison - Chairperson, Elaine Snowden, Pam Gasper & Lauri Cusack
The Membership Committee shall determine the eligibility of persons desiring to become Members of the Club. It shall recommend to the Board of Governors persons to be considered for election to the Board of Governors as honorary Members. E-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Cruise Committee: (five or more) Barry Dupuy - Chairperson, David Glascock, Ron Gerdes, John & Wendy Ellor, Josh & Barb Wallach, Ernie & Camille Rogers, Marion Herndon, Ken Olanyk, Ron Eddleman, Doug Chappell and Philip Kropf

The Cruise Committee shall plan and recommend cruises to the membership. It shall establish guidelines for persons serving as cruise leaders.

Social Committee: (five or more) Karen Chappell – Chairperson, Alice Kilgo, Barb Dupuy, Debora Taylor, Dew Harvey, Monica Mulloy, Doris Columbus, Elaine Snowden, Linda Koepsel, Lorna Glascock, Lynne Boze, Marion Herndon, Mary Lou Clark, Sherry Hampton, Philip Kropf, Sue Bertram, Sylvia Diaz, Valerie Coyle, Wendy Ellor, Vicki Upchurch and EJ Heard

The Social Committee shall plan and organize the social functions of the Club.

Education Committee: (one or more) Jerry Giallanza – Chairperson

The Education Committee shall plan and organize programs aimed at improving the Club's general knowledge of boating.

Historical Committee: (one or more) Ed Herndon

The Historical Committee shall maintain records of all existing Yearbooks, directories, Newsletters, and, to the extent practical, articles in publications.

Yearbook Committee: (one or more) TBD

The Yearbook Committee shall collect pictures, Newsletters, and other interesting articles and organize same into an annual Yearbook.

Boatique Committee: (one or more) Dormant

The Boatique Committee shall maintain the Club's inventory of accessories and shall display such inventory for the purpose of selling the accessories at all Club meetings and social events as feasible.

Newsletter Committee: (one or more) Deedy Payne,

The Chairperson of the Newsletter Committee shall be the Editor of "The Texas Mariner". He/she shall have responsibility for its publication and authority for its content according to policies established by the Board of Governors. Internet Committee: (one or more) Robert VanBurkleo – Chairperson, Ed Herndon & Philip Kropf – Photo Gallery

The Chairperson of the Internet Committee shall be the Webmaster of the Club website (www.tmca.nu). He/she shall have the responsibility for maintenance of the Club website and authority for its content according to policies established by the Board of Governors. Directory Committee: (one or more) Norm Roe

The Directory Committee shall establish a mechanism for compilation and design of a yearly membership directory for approval by the Board of Governors, and shall arrange and manage printing and mailing of the membership directory to Members. Promotes club awareness with other groups and writes articles about TMCA for various local publications. E-mail: TMCA Publicity

Website & Software Committee: Barb Wallach - Chairperson, Al Cusick, Camille Rogers, Philip Kropf and Deedy Payne

Cookbook Committee: Scott Lacy
