Mardi Gras ReportLauri & Al Cusick Who says TMCA Members are not a hardy bunch? A total 54 members and guests began arriving at Fish Tales Restaurant even before the appointed hour of 4 o’clock. The skies were grey; the temperature was in the 40’s; a North wind was blowing, but they all brought warmth and cheer to a great party. Incidentally, it was the guests, not the TMCA members, which lowered our original anticipated attendance. A sort of happy hour took place until a little past 4:30 when management asked if we would be seated and order our food. Once again, Fish Tales upheld their reputation for good food and good service. After dinner almost everyone went outside and braved the weather to watch the Krewe of Gambrinus Mardi Gras parade. The parade arrived around 6:30. It was fun to be a part of the “fight” for beads. This was definitely no place for the timid or faint of heart. It was every man and woman for himself or herself. Pictures of this land yacht cruise can be found at You may also click here for pictures. Thanks for making this a great party. Let’s do it again next year.
